Grant Ford has been involved with Scottish Art since the 1980s and was responsible for Sotheby’s Scottish Art auctions from the late 1990s. The talk starts with Grant arriving in Aberdeen in the late 1980s and being confronted with John Lavery’s The Tennis Party and then broadens into the many trophy works he has handled over the years. This talk will cover traditional Scottish painting and will lead into some of the amazing images created by the Four Scottish Colourists and their followers in the 20th century.
